FAQ's

We understand that going 'tiny' can feel quite daunting, but we are here to help answer any questions you may have. Take a look at our FAQ's listed below and feel free to email us, if you have any more enquiries@arcdesigntinyhomes.com.au

How long will it take for your tiny home to be built?
Currently our average time to build your tiny home is around 4 - 8 weeks, depending on sourcing specific materials.

Can I customise my tiny home?

We understand that everyone has different needs and wants for their new home. We have a range of upgrades that can be chosen, and we are open to discussing your thoughts around colours, fixtures and fittings to customise your space to your liking.

Can I go off-grid with my tiny home?
In short, YES! Your tiny home comes with a composting toilet, grey water provision, external power board / box with provision for plug in, solar & mains power connections. Talk to us about purchasing a solar trailer, gas oven & water tank options.

What is the maximum size of a tiny house?
Our tiny homes are kept within the restricted dimensions and weight required for road legality. The maximum weight is 4.5 tonne. The maximum length is 9m (10.5m which includes the draw bar). The maximum width is 2.5m and the maximum height is 4.3m. Our preferred tiny home size is 2.4m wide x 8m long x 4.3m high.

Can I tow my own tiny home?
The good news is, yes you can tow your tiny home! The bad news is, you will need a vehicle that is capable of towing your (4 tonne +) home on wheels. There are other safety requirements that would need investigating also.

The most common option, is to let us arrange delivery to your desired destination, via a trusted towing company. This can be provided Australia wide. Noting the further you are from the Sunshine Coast the more expensive the towing will be.

Where can I park my tiny home?

We encourage you to undertake this research well ahead of purchasing a tiny home from us or anyone else. There are a number of websites that can assist you in this research. From experience, our customers have placed ads on Facebook asking if people within an area would consider having a tiny home parked on their property. The key questions is does the location work for you and what services are available on the site (unless you are fully off grid). We also encourage you to contact your specific council for permits and requirements as these rules and regulations vary greatly by council area.

Do we offer visitors to our construction warehouse?
